Excursion Castel del monte & bari exploration tour at Bari

This harmonious castle, a UNESCO site in Apulia, with its octagonal central structure (8 towers of the same shape around the edges) and with the mixture of Romanesque, Arabian, Norman and Gothic elements, is one of the most discussed castles in the world. This construction was ordered by Frederick II of Swabia on the top of an isolated hill near Andria and it was built by local workers as well as Northern and Saracen stone-masons craftsmen.

After Castel del Monte visit and return to Bari, it's time for a short panoramic drive of Apulia's political capital, through its elegant Seafront as well as its Murat's District, known also as the Shopping District, to the Swabian Castle for a photo stop.

At the end of the visit enjoy some free time before re-boarding the bus and returning to the pier or you can decide to stay in downtown for independent exploration and return to the ship at your leisure.
