Meet your Tourguide at the Pier and enjoy an approximately 20-30 minutes drive up to the vast volcanic crater of Bandama.

Visiting this crater helps to understand the geological origin of Gran Canaria, an island that is the result from thousands of years of volcanic eruptions. You start to descend approx 200 meter to the bottom of the crater. On your way down you note that you enter a different world in which the air, the noises, the flora and life itself has their own rhythm.

In the depths of the crater you live the experience to be completely surrounded by the slopes of the volcano. The isolation has led to the presence of numerous endemic plants, which gives this trail a special touch. "La Dama de Bandama" (Lady of Bandama) is one of the rare plants that only can be seen in this volcano.

On the bottom of this approximately 2000 year old crater you have a sensation of isolation, of peace and calm. You are on a little natural universe, a hostile but at the same time heavenly place. Enjoy in these beautiful surroundings a little picnic.
